Email Marketing Automation for Home Service Businesses

Build trust, nurture leads, and grow a following that turns into recurring revenue.

The emails you'd send if you had the time. Written once in your voice, timed to how your customers really buy, and sent whether or not anyone remembers.

The basics

What is email marketing automation?

Email marketing automation is every email your business should be sending, set up to send itself. That means a welcome series for new leads, follow-up emails for people who weren't ready, and a monthly newsletter for past customers. Your list is split into groups, so each person only gets what's relevant to them. When they're ready, you're the contractor they already know, not one they have to search for.

Email marketing in the software you already run

We build it in the email tool or CRM you already pay for, using the customer list you already have.

What it does

Timed to your customers, not a template

An email is only worth sending if it matters to the person opening it. So we split your list into groups: new leads, open estimates, past customers, and so on. Each group gets its own emails on its own timing. Every business is different, so yours is built around how your customers really decide.

A welcome series and follow-up emails for new leads.

A monthly newsletter and seasonal campaigns for past customers.

Your list split into groups, so every email is relevant to who gets it.

How working together actually goes

How we set up your email marketing

The Blueprint

Sixty minutes on a call, after we've done our homework. We look at your list, what you've sent it, and how long your customers take to say yes. Want to move faster? A short questionnaire after you book covers the background, so the call goes to fixes. You leave with a written plan, the order we'd build it in, and a fixed price. Free for the first five.

The build

We build it in the software you already pay for, in your accounts, under your business name. We write every email with you. You approve each one before it goes out.

Switch-on

We turn it on a little at a time, starting with a small part of your list. We watch the first sends closely, fix what breaks, and adjust the timing based on who's opening and replying.

We watch it

Nothing we build is left running unwatched. Skip monitors it and alerts us, not you. If you'd like, we keep writing and sending for you every month.

A fair question

Isn't most email marketing spam?

A lot of it is. Your own inbox is the proof. Email feels like spam when it's random and sent to everyone. It doesn't when it's relevant and personal to the person reading it. Done with intention, your email list can be a gold mine.

If it doesn't sound like you, it doesn't go

You read every email before it sends. It's slower, and it's the reason these get opened and not filtered.

Easy to leave, on every email

There's an unsubscribe link on everything, and it's honored right away. We'd rather lose the address than the goodwill.

Automation isn't here to remove the personal touch.

It's here to make it possible. The business that remembers you is usually just the one with a system behind it.

What changes

The lead who said "not yet" books later

Someone who showed interest in March might be ready in June, or next spring. Most businesses stop talking to them after a week. This keeps you in touch the whole time, with new leads, open estimates, and past customers alike. When they're ready, they call you.

  • Leads who weren't ready get nurtured until they are.

  • Your list hears from you every month, not once a year.

  • Old leads and past customers get a reason to come back.

Email marketing FAQs

The questions home service owners ask before letting anything email their customers. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.

How often should a home service business email its list?

It depends on whether the email earns it. Monthly is safe. Weekly is fine if you have something to say. One bad email a quarter does more damage than four good ones a month.

My list is old and messy. Is that a problem?

It's normal, and cleaning it is part of the work. We merge duplicates, drop dead addresses, and start slowly so your emails don't land in spam.

Do I have to write any of it myself?

No. We write it, and you change whatever doesn't sound like you.

How much does email marketing cost?

The build is a fixed price, and you get the number in your Blueprint before you commit. Monitoring is included. If you want us to keep writing and sending emails every month, that's an optional monthly service, priced in the same Blueprint.

What happens when the automation breaks?

Skip watches everything we build and alerts us, not you. Things do break. A password changes, or an app updates. What matters is who finds out first, and it shouldn't be you or your customer.
